1. What factors motivated your decision to join Campbell Arnott’s?
I joined Campbell Arnott’s 11 years ago, whilst I was completing my university degree. My first role was as a Merchandiser, and without doubt, it was the great brands that attracted me to Campbell Arnott’s. It is fair to say that I was an avid consumer of some of these brands growing up – particularly BBQ Shapes and Tee Vee Snacks – and I recall using this intimate knowledge to my advantage in my first interview!! The opportunity to build enormous displays of Tim Tam’s and Shapes – what a cool first job!! Since then, I have had the opportunity to move through a variety of Sales related roles, in different states, and different parts of the business.
2. How do you feel valued at Campbell Arnott’s?
For me, feeling valued is all about having the ability to make a difference in what I do every day. I know that my opinions count and are listened to, and I have the opportunity to express these on a daily basis.
I also know that the company cares greatly about its people, and is very focussed on providing opportunities for all individuals to develop professionally as they progress through their careers. I have been exposed to a number of personal development opportunities, have had a variety of mentors, leaders and coaches to assist me on my way, and genuinely feel that the company is committed to me being the best that I can be in what I do, every single day.
3. How have you made a difference to our organisation in the past twelve months?
As the National Business Manager for Woolworths, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to make an impact with our largest customer. The Sales function is at the heart of the coal face, and I absolutely love the fact that my team and I have the ability to take some of Australia’s most loved brands to the customer, and implement strategic initiatives that bring these brands to life in store.
4. Which of Campbell Arnott’s icon brands would you like a lifetime supply of?
I could not possibly limit myself to just one of our great products.
- My favourite savoury biscuit: Shapes Chicken Crimpy – knocking a whole box off in one sitting has been known to happen!!
- I would like a lifetime supply of Country Ladle Minestrone Soup – it is absolutely fantastic on a cold winter’s day, and accompanied with some hot bread, is a fantastic quick, easy and delicious meal – one that even I can’t muck up!!
- My favourite chocolate biscuit, Mint Slice – personally I like them nice and cold and usually have a pack on hand in the fridge to dip into my coffee.
